There are a couple beta software projects that we wanted to talk about. These are two projects that stand out as being very usefull and very cool.
First is Lostreception's Vehicle Maintenance program:

The other is Leddy's Whereismygps program:

Vehicle Maintanence is helpfull software that will allow you to track your vehicle repairs, maintenance and remind you of important events for your car's maintenance schedule. Vehicle Maintenance offers flexibility and might be skinnable when officially released. There's no ETA for official release yet, but Lostreception offered a beta trial. There is no ability to save data in the trial, it more of a teaser.
Features full menus, on screen keyboard, reminders, and more all in a very clean interface. Here's some screenshots:

Whereismygps is a new and ambitious undertaking by Leddy of the MP3Car forums. Him and his team just recently launched their website for the software, www.whereismygps.net Whereismygps is a nice application in the sense that it allows you to track where your vehicle is in real time via your GPS and internet connection. The software itself is nice and packed full of features. There's the ability to save to a log, in the event you don't have an internet connection.
The website portion of the project is sweet. You can view your information publicly on their site, or change the settings to make your view private (through password screen). The uses for this software are various. You could use it to track your own car, use it to track work vehicles throughout the day, etc - all from the comfort of any web browser.
Currently this beta test is closed to the public, but we had some testers submit some insider screenshots to show us how its coming along. No ETA yet of a public release, but we'll keep you posted. Here's some screenshots:

We will keep you updated once a public release is made.
